How Do You Find The Base Area of a Triangular Prism?

The base and the top of a triangular prism are identical triangles. Each has the same area. The area of a triangle is (1/2) x base x height, where base means base of the triangle and height means height of the triangle. How you calculate that depends on what your are given.
