I have a 50's Kelvinator refrigerator. After defrosting, the ice box wouldn't freeze.?

The ice box would cool a beer enough to enjoy, but it wouldn't freeze or show any frost, and the cooler no longer cools anything. The refrigerator still runs quietly. I'm guessing the thermostat is not working.
