Is holding hands and stuff old fashioned or not right for some girls?

A girl I have been out with 3 or 4 times is very friendly but didn't seem to want to sit together or hold hands. Yet gives other indications of interest including blatant ual teasing. She has a few relationships from her home town on hold which may have something to do with it. I can't blame a woman who has had a few kissy hand holdy relationships to want a rest and to be honest I could do without a lot of it. But then of course its a little difficult getting closer without actually seducing them which seems a bit of a leap. I don't want to be filed in the just friends zone.
