well, not raising the debt ceiling probably would spell the death knell of the dollar as the world's reserve currency. With the collapse of the dollar and spiraling inflation - then subsequent deflation - the US probably couldn't field the military it has around the globe.. so maybe killing the dollar will be a great way to bring the troops home.
